About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer within Marosa’s DevOps team, part of Wolters Kluwer’s Corporate Tax portfolio under CP&ESG division, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and supporting our cloud platform, Kubernetes infrastructure, and software delivery pipelines.

In this hands-on role, you will collaborate closely with Development, Operations, and Security teams to embed DevSecOps best practices into agile workflows. You will contribute to the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of our environments, helping to ensure high availability and continuous improvement across our enterprise SaaS portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Operations

· Maintain and support cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

· Operate, configure, and monitor Kubernetes clusters to maintain high system availability and performance.

· Support autoscaling strategies using KEDA and Karpenter.

· Execute routine maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning to improve cost efficiency and system stability.

· Administer Linux environments and automate operational tasks using Ansible and Bash.

CI/CD, Delivery & Observability

· Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Helm/Kustomize to streamline software delivery.

· Integrate DevSecOps practices and security checks directly into the deployment pipeline.

· Maintain service monitoring, logging, and operational dashboards using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.

· Support data-streaming infrastructure, including Kafka cluster monitoring and maintenance.

· Partner with product development teams to troubleshoot build, deployment, and operational issues in lower and production environments.


Security, Compliance & Cost Management

· Apply container security best practices, vulnerability management, and secrets management in alignment with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 standards.

· Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis (RCA), and operational post-mortems.

· Assist in disaster recovery (DR) testing and maintain continuous backup and restore procedures.

· Support FinOps initiatives by tracking and optimizing cloud resource usage using tools like Kubecost.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline or equivalent practical hands-on experience.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

· 3+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure role supporting production environments.

· Solid understanding of AWS services, containerization concepts, and production experience operating Kubernetes.

· Hands-on proficiency with Terraform for provisioning infrastructure.

· Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, ArgoCD, or similar tools).

· Strong Linux administration skills with practical scripting experience in Bash, Python, or Ansible.

· Experience using monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

· Collaborative team player, agile mindset, strong analytical skills, and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Nice to Have

· Experience with multi-cloud setups (Microsoft Azure alongside AWS).

· Exposure to real-time data streaming platforms (Apache Kafka).

· Familiarity with dynamic autoscaling tools (KEDA, Karpenter).

· Knowledge of FinOps practices and usage-tracking tools (e.g., Kubecost).

· Understanding of enterprise compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2).

· Interest or early experience in AI-assisted engineering productivity and automation tools.

· AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
